 Festive Bosherston - 29th December 2019

25 walkers and 3 doggies enjoyed the second of the walks of the Winter Festival of Walks at Bosherston. It was great to be joined by some of our regular walkers,  a few members we hadn't seen for a while, along with a number of  new walkers to the group and some visitors. We had to alter the planned route as the Mere was badly flooded, which was disappointing as this is a route that not many walkers are familiar with. It was breezy, fresh day up on the cliffs crossing Stackpole Warren, onto the ever beautiful Barafundle. We took our lunch at Stackpole Quay, before heading over to eight arch bridge and a brief visit to the Stackpole Centre. Unfortunately we hadn't realised how badly flooded the path was approaching Grassy bridge, so wet feet were inevitable. So we then took the view that we may as well return via the flooded footbridge - in for a penny in for a pound as they say! It was a 7.3 mile walk in the end. We then retired to St Govans Inn, and enjoyed refreshments by the roaring fire.
