Llawhaden - Bletherston
Here is the walk report for yesterday... thanks again for all your help both on the day and beforehand.
Fourteen ramblers enjoyed beautiful September sunshine and an 11-mile walk on Saturday September 12th in the Llawhaden area.
The walk started in Llawhaden and took the pretty footpaths west of the Eastern Cleddau up to Gelli where a short stop was made for coffee.
From there the group headed north taking rural paths and quiet country lanes to Bletherston where a very welcome break was made for lunch at the church.
The ramblers carried on along the lane before turning south and taking a little walked green lane down to New Mill. They crossed the River Syfni and battled their way over some difficult marshy ground and little used footpaths to eventually reach the lane leading back towards Clarbeston Grange.
From there they made the long climb up the lane and over the railway line to eventually pick up a track leading down to Drim Farm. A footpath to Broadway and then bridleways took them back to Llawhaden and a much deserved drink in the Bush Inn.
