Plumstone - Roach Bridge. Wednesday 18th August 2021

This walk started on a high point, in fact Plumstone Mountain is the highest point on the entire route. It was therefore downhill for the first half of the day. Initially across open moorland, then bridal paths and lanes to reach Little Ryndaston. Here we joined pretty woodland paths for two miles to Roch Bridge and the lowest point on the route.
We were accompanied on the 1mile/300ft climb up Ryndaston Mountain by dozens of inquistive cows. Fortunately the bull was indifferent to our presence. The challanges continued negotiating a series of delapidated stiles on the short climb up Dudwell mountain. Beyond the going through the woodland and moorland back to the car park was comparatively easy.
