Moylgrove to Cippyn . Tuesday 7th September 2021

A smaller than usual group of us gathered in the car park on a very hot Tuesday morning to start the 8.5 miles circular walk to Cippyn. We were glad of the shade while we walked down the wooded valley towards the coast before we met the coastal path that led us in a northerly direction towards Cemaes Head. We stopped several times to rest and admire this beautiful part of the coastline that stretched out before us and watched several seals in the clear blue water below. After a picturesque stop for lunch, we turned inland and walked up a valley past an old dilapidated chapel before turning south at Cippyn fawr and soon passed another chapel in better condition but neglected. We continued the walk across fields and along a track before eventually coming to the country lane. At this point we had to alter the route slightly due to a closed path so followed the road which took us back to the village. Thanks to everyone for coming on one of the warmest days of the year and making it a fun and enjoyable day out.
