Three Woods Short Walk
Ten members & two visitors started out from Canaston Wood car park with one extra joining after we left. Half way around the group stopped off at Minwear Church were half the group put the church to good use & used it as a shelter from the cold wind just as the church would have served the weary traveller 550 years ago. The second half of the 7 mile plus walk passed the 15th century ruins of Sister’s House. Some walkers ventured into the ground of this massive farm complex
As we were too late to make the local pub only four of use (including one visitor from Geneva) visited the Carew Arms after the walk.
Next short walk is on the 13th November from Dale around St Ishmael’s & Monk Haven.
Hope to see you there
David D Short Walk Leader.
